5.5Gb of Updates? Hello Vista hotfixes!

Seriously – what the hell?  Yes, I know that they’re the optional ones, but I’ve just done the “ooh look updates – lets apply them” update.

Glad you don’t have to be technical and need to know that you can pick and choose updates to install.

Glad to know that end users who don’t know what to apply, get told to apply EVERYTHING that’s offered to them, to keep their computer secure.

I’m REALLY glad I’ve got WSUS + ISA Proxy running here, and those updates are already downloaded, cached and are being pulled down at ethernet speeds 🙂

I’m going to switch to Bigpond, because they tell their users to disable windows updates, because it chews through their 200Mb download limit 😛
