DNS Post Patch Port to Exclude for Server 2003, Including SBS 2003

The following list is of known port numbers including services such as black berry, SQL, RWW etc, to ensure that services remain running on the computer.  These need to be added to the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\ReservedPorts key.  The following list of ports should be cut and paste-able directly into the registry.

1433-1434

1645-1646

1718-1720

1745-1745

1801-1801

1701-1701

1812-1813

2883-2883

3343-3343

3389-3389

3500-3619

4125-4125

Quick Instructions for Registry Manipulation

To configure the ReservedPorts registry value, follow these steps:

Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

Locate and then click the following subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

Right-click ReservedPorts, and then click Modify.
